How to Create a Salt Water Cure and Why You Need One in Feng Shui!
In classical Feng Shui, the Salt Water Cure is one of the most trusted remedies for negative energy, especially from the annual flying.
If you've ever heard of it but weren’t quite sure what it does or how to make one, you're in the right place!
Let’s break it down…
🌊 What Is a Salt Water Cure?
A salt water cure is a traditional Feng Shui remedy used to neutralize negative Qi, particularly from the Flying Star 2 (illness) and Flying Star 5 (misfortune). These stars are known to bring challenges like health issues, accidents, financial loss, or general bad luck when activated.
The Salt Water Cure works through a combination of metal, water, and salt—all elements that interact energetically to weaken the Earth element of these inauspicious stars.
🧪 What You’ll Need:
Creating a Salt Water Cure is simple and cost-effective. Here’s what you’ll need:
A clear glass jar or bowl (do not use plastic or metal)
Coarse sea salt or rock salt
6 Chinese coins (tied with red string if possible, but optional)
Water (tap water is fine)
A quiet, undisturbed space
🛠️ How to Make a Salt Water Cure:
Fill the container 3/4 full with salt.
Be generous—the salt should form a mound above the water line once it starts working.Place the 6 coins on top of the salt, face up (the side with the 4 characters facing up). The number 6 represents the metal element, which is essential to weaken the Earth energy of the negative stars.
Slowly pour in water to just below the rim of the glass. You don’t need to stir anything—let nature do the work.
Place the container in the afflicted area of your home based on the year’s Flying Star chart (e.g., in 2025, Flying Star 5 is in the West).
Do not cover the container. Let it evaporate and crystallize naturally.
Leave it undisturbed. Over time, you’ll notice salt crusts forming and possibly spilling over—this is a good sign that it's absorbing negative energy.
🧼 Important Notes:
Do not reuse the coins or containers from the previous year. Discard them responsibly.
Keep out of reach of pets or children.
Place on a ceramic or glass plate to protect surfaces from salt damage.
